This project-based, hands-on course covers a myriad of graphic arts-related topics, including: digital imaging, graphic design principles, image manipulation, page layout, web design, non-linear video editing, motion graphics, and more. In the process, students will explore a wide range of professional multi-media software applications, including: Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver, Flash, Premiere, After Effects, Soundbooth, and Encore. Students develop key skills throughout the year in a spiral--each project adds more challenging skills onto the foundation proficiencies.
