Go home, and take a lot around at each thing you own. Where did you buy it? How much did you pay? You probably know. But now think about this: Where was it made? Who made it? How much raw material was needed to make it? You probably don't know. For all you know, the shirt you're wearing right now was made handcrafted by a 12 year old child in China, working on 4 hours of sleep, for cents each day. What about before that? Where was the cotton grown? (In a giant corporation farm) Did a different child harvest it? (Most likely) What kind of chemicals were used to clean the cotton? (I don't know, but I doubt they were approved) Was it safe for the workers? (Probably not).
Think about it. Awareness is the first step, the first assignment.
